Currency Configuration

Step 2: Currency Configuration

The Currency Configuration section is where you define the virtual currency used in your app. This step is essential for setting up the reward system that incentivizes users to complete offers and engage with your app. Below is a detailed breakdown of each field and its purpose:

1. Currency Name

  • Purpose: This is the name of the virtual currency that users will earn by completing offers or engaging with your app.

  • Example: If your virtual currency is called "perkoz.cdn," enter that here.

  • Why It’s Important: The currency name is displayed to users and helps them understand what they’re earning. It should be relevant to your app’s theme or branding.

2. Currency Rate

  • Purpose: This defines the exchange rate between your virtual currency and real-world value (e.g., USD).

  • Example: If you set the rate to 10,00, it means 10,00 units of your virtual currency are equivalent to $1.

  • Why It’s Important: The currency rate ensures that rewards are meaningful and proportional to the effort required to complete offers. It also helps users understand the value of the currency they’re earning.

3. Update Save & Next

  • Purpose: Once you’ve defined the currency name and rate, click this button to save your settings and proceed to the next step.

  • Why It’s Important: This ensures your currency settings are applied and your app is ready for further customization (e.g., design, postback URLs).

Example Workflow for Currency Configuration

  1. Enter Currency Name: Type "perks" in the Currency Name field.

  2. Set Currency Rate: Enter 10,00 in the Currency Rate field to define the exchange rate (10,00 units = $1).

  3. Save & Next: Click the Update Save & Next button to save your currency settings and move to the next step (e.g., design customization).

Why Currency Configuration Matters

  • User Engagement: A well-defined virtual currency system motivates users to complete offers and engage with your app.

  • Transparency: Clear currency rates help users understand the value of their rewards, building trust and encouraging participation.

  • Flexibility: You can adjust the currency rate to align with your app’s economy and reward structure.

Additional Notes

  • Live Preview: Some dashboards provide a live preview of how the currency will appear to users. Use this feature to ensure the currency name and rate are displayed correctly.

  • Testing: After configuring the currency, test the system by completing offers and verifying that users receive the correct amount of virtual currency.
